With one year left at Penn State, I will be heading out into the real world of journalism relatively soon. I have a couple of internships under my belt, plus reporting at The Daily Collegian, and am, in general, enthusiastic about my prospects as well as the future of journalism, despite the way the industry is currently going.
This blog will encompass the issues surrounding the state of journalism today, as it modifies to adapt with the changing way people consume news. You can view my news blog over at calanoni.
As journalism continues to adapt, it breaks into print and online, with a prism of choices for its continuing evolution — a rainbow if you will. Increasingly, the paper is moving into online — beyond print. Hence, the name of this blog — combining the fact that journalism is moving in multiple directions, while, at the same time, it’s moving away from print.
